POLAROID #25 – Found Polaroids

Walking in the street, I saw a fashioned woman sitting on the ground, lighting a cigarette. I asked if I could photograph her nodded in agreement and smiled. She was having a minute with herself watching people and I know I was distracting her, but she was cool, allowing me to have my kind of fun. Second exposure, she begins acting like Clint Eastwood, she is still having fun with my camera I suppose.

Fourth exposure, she gains her confidence back and looks at the camera like a curious child. Fifth exposure, sixth exposure, seventh and eighth exposures, she calms down, enjoys the moment, laughs, and finally accepts my presence confidently. She walks slowly. Slowly enough that I manage several photographs, close and far. The shadow of a palm tree over my head and there is a ship in the background. But she is walking alone, alone between soil, water, and the sky.

She has her neck above the water. She has spent her life and got a bit left. As she walks, the soil and water grab her clothes and pull her down. What will remain from her the next year? Only a faded photograph. But there is a way left. My time-machine, which happens to be out of order at the moment. I mean a real time-machine that makes you able to travel in time, back and forth. Far away from now. First, I will meet up with all people that I miss.

On my way to present, I will also go back to the moment I took this photograph and observe why and where are these dogs looking at. I hope I will be done with the time machine in near future. But even then, who knows if the dogs would be present, the time I travel to the past.

A man is standing close to me. But he is so far away. He has an instinct for light. His hands are locked. So is his mouth, his eyes, his soul. He is annoyed by too many things that are beyond his control. He gets angry sometimes when he sees himself weak and unable of fixing the problems. At such a time, he goes to a garden, locks his arms into each other, stays silent and motionless for minutes, and stares at the light to warm up his soul.

He is not alone. This is the instinct of men. Instinct of Men Polaroid Film 8. You look fine. Are you? Do you think there is anything serious in this world? If not, then why so serious? Your nice suit, nice hat, nice leather bag, nice sunglasses… your left hand, all tell me you think you are important.

Do you? You may be a doctor, artist, or a professor. Perhaps you are somebody in your world. You may be a buster businessman who makes money and cheats on his wife. Perhaps your wife has passed away. Did she? You may not believe me, but I also think you are an honest man. I remember how fast you were walking in the ally and how you enjoyed the ray of light on your face.

I saw your spirit and caught a piece of your soul in this photograph. Money Man Polaroid Film 8. Experience of existence of light, Reflection of a dream, A portrait of the non-materialistic universe. All printed on a worthless square paper Light Polaroid Film 8. Dogs Polaroid Film 8.
